Dancing fly - Rivellia - male

Dancing fly - Rivellia - Male
West Foss Farm, Durham, New Hampshire, USA
June 25, 2011
Size: 5mm?
This fly had dark bands on its wings and was dancing around this leaf, walking a few steps, stopping and slowly waving his wings (and because of this behavior, I am assuming it was a male.)

In fact, I was even able to handle the leaf without him flying off (though he did walk away to avoid my fingers) in order to get a better shot of him.
