Size: Length 6mm,
Solitary specimen found in evening hours crawling slowly on wooden railing, have observed same type in similar circumstances three years running.

Hi Mr Newton, I use a Nikon D40 with 60mm AF Micro Nikkor lens, on camera flash.
I glanced through your contributions and find the Agepostemon sp. in the pollen dust most interesting. Great shot there!

That is indeed my favorite BugGuide image. I captured that scene with a Pentax optio W30 at close range. I have a Nikon D90 and a micro lens which I must discipline myself to use more frequently. The Pentax point and shoot doesn't offer the depth of field I obtain with my Nikon.
