Moved
Moved from Bold Jumper. Spots III are much too large/rounded for audax. This is a pretty typical early instar regius. I've found that early instar regius, at least in central FL, have the dark matte areas on the abdomen similar to that of audax. But the matte areas on regius are continuous and not broken into four paired rectangular spots as in audax. And this matte pattern disappears on regius by the adult molt. I had GB Edwards examine my images of young regius with the black mattte areas on the abdomen and he agreed the images were of regius.
