Northern Pygny Clubtail - Lanthus parvulus - male

Northern Pygny Clubtail - Lanthus parvulus - Male
Mactaquac Provincial Park, York County, New Brunswick, Canada
July 3, 2011
This small clubtail was sunning itself on a boulder in the rocky and forested Little Mactaquac Stream. It returned to this same spot several times, and interacted with a second individual only twice. The only other odes were a few large pale brown darners that were seen cruising up and down the stream. This individual was id'd online by two NB dragonflyers here.
