ID this specimen as
M. obtusus
- the short body/width ratio, the non-dentate elytral apices and the small body size.

This specimen threw me off with all the white spots on the elytra. Both species are quite common in this area. Most specimens of
Monochamus scutellatus
around here are mostly spotless, except for the scutellum - as in this specimen:
And the
Monochamus clamator
specimens are always very spotted, but without the prominent white scutellum.
