Chironomidae: Chironomus? - Male
Turtle River State Park, Grand Forks County, North Dakota, USA
July 5, 2011
Size: Body Length ~ 6-7 mm
I've been looking for an example of a male green midge for weeks now, and I finally found one this morning! I'll post three images: dorsal, anterior, and posterior views. I'm hoping that these images provide enough information to determine the genus (and perhaps even the species?). Thanks for looking! ;-)

Not sure
Could be Kiefferulus dux or an Axarus. A clearer shot of the pronutum or genitalia would distinguish them.
