More likely Prociphilus tessallatus
The species of maple matters.

Neoprociphilus aceris alternates between Sugar maple (Acer saccharum) and Greenbriar (Smilax spp.) All the live specimens I've seen do not have this much wax at the end.

Prociphilus tessallatus has a lot more wax, and alternates between Silver Maple (Acer saccarinum) and Alder (Alnus spp.)
