Not sure
D&A list the range of B. hatchi as being more northern than NJ. Perhaps this could be B. fraternus instead? I'm still trying to learn these myself, so I'm not sure.

I took another look at D&A, and you're right - the range for B. hatchi seems more northern. In that last couplete with B. fraternus, I was going by the shape of the first abdominal and the way it appears to fall off medially in my beetle (and comparing with the B. fraternus type venter on the MCZ site). So perhaps we should move this back to genus level - unless you feel confident we're down to either B. hatchi or B. fraternus (in which this would now be fraternus)?
