Size: 7mm head to wing tips
Found during the day on the trunk of a fir tree. Sitting with its head pointed toward the top of the tree.

1869.1 – Carpatolechia notatella?
Randy - How is C. notatella eliminated? Or did you base it on my previous ID of his other submission which I now doubt?

Hodges#1881.1 – Carpatolechia proximella. See Chris Steeman's photo at MPG. This species is introduced from Europe. I don't know where it has been found in North America to date.
