Ok, Ryan. I (a total amateur) can hardly tell the difference between the senatoria and the stigma. I'm not devoted to it being one or the other... I mostly labeled it a senatoria because it showed up a day after the female senatoria on my deck.

I'm no expert...
I too have trouble differentiating the two species as adults, in fact just the other day I had to ask someone much more knowledgeable than I if an
Anisota sp.
I had found was in fact
A. senatoria
like I thought and not
A. stigma
.
But based on the shape of this one’s wings and the body/wing ratio I assume this one is a male, and male
A. stigma
look quite different than male
A. senatoria
(it's the females of the two species that I have trouble with). Your ID is close, indeed, but I just wanted to add my two cents based on my above observations.
