Egg sac on mugo pine

Egg sac on mugo pine
Fredericton, York County, New Brunswick, Canada
July 8, 2011
Size: 8-10 mm
This presumed spider egg sac was constructed between two mugo pine needles at the front door of the Forestry Complex in Fredericton. There are curious black tufts along the upper edge that may help in identification.

Interesting...
I collected a similar egg sac in Vermont a couple of weeks ago, which was attached to a pair of white pine needles. Nothing has emerged so far... I also collected two like this, which could also be the same thing.
