Eumorpha Intermedia, Pandorus, or what? - Eumorpha pandorus
Cleveland West Side, Cuyahoga County, Ohio, USA
July 12, 2011
Closest photo match I've seen is Eumorpha Intermedia, but this coloration is different.

Eumorpha pandorus - Pandorus Sphinx - Hodges #7859
Moved from ID Request.

subterminal line in Eumorpha intermedia is scalloped near apex and it does not occur in your area

your picture is darker green
your picture is darker green but it looks very, very much like it. It is in Roanoke, VA. The wing on top of body closest to head is very definitively scalloped which does not show up in my picture. It has been hanging on the wall from 11am until now at 5pm. Wasn't sure it was a moth because it is not "fuzzy", looks like its made of paper.
