Philodromidae - Running Crab Spiders
This is a gravid female running crab spider. I'd guess something in Philodromus, but I'm not 100% sure about the genus. Let's see what other people think.

Also, I just thought I'd mention that this spider generally looks similar to a Dolomedes fishing spider, but it's not one of those based on eye arrangement.

Thanks
Thank you for your help!

It sure is pretty. Is it poisonous?

Phil

Is it venomous?
None of the running crab spiders in our range are harmful to people.

Most spiders are venomous, but not many will harm a person if a bite occurs. Only widows and the brown recluse are currently known to cause problems for people in the USA & Canada. A few other spiders are on the suspect list of causing some tissue damage ... like the Hobo Spider & the Long-legged Sac Spider. I don't think either of those has been proven by a study yet. In fact one study has proven the opposite for the long-legged sac spider.

Anyway, it is very unlikely that a spider will bite a person. Usually when it happens the person has unkowningly pressed the spider against his/her skin and the spider bites in self-defense. (Like if the spider is hiding in a shirt on the floor.. and then someone puts on the shirt...)

Thank you again! Have a go
