Dragonfly dragon-hunter exuvia - Hagenius brevistylus

Size: approx 4cm
I believe this is the exoskeleton left from a dragonfly as it left its life in the lake to hatch and take flight as a terrestrial. I am wondering what the white stringy things are?

I found a living version of t
I found a living version of this just last month! It was found at a lake in the woods swimming in the water. I had no idea what it was but it's an area heavy with dragonflies. I'm going to post my picture in a few. Dragonfly was my first guess as well.
