Flameout moth II - Scoliopteryx libatrix
Sarnia, Lambton, Ontario, Canada
July 14, 2011
Size: about 1" long
Sorry about the framing but this image is used elsewhere. After a couple of hours of searching and not finding anything close it's time to ask for some help in identifying this medium sized moth. It showed up last night and was hanging around the porch light.

Borders
Please see the instructions requesting "For consistency, please do not include any borders or other decorations around your image."

Boarders
I did apologize for the borders in my original post but was submitting for identification purposes only. There was no intention on my part for their permanent addition to this site, or to the Herald page, once identified. Thank you for taking it upon yourself to crop my images and remove watermarks, without my permission.
