This is a bee, even it looks like a wasp. It is a parasitic bee of the genus Nomada.

Patience:-)
Takes a good deal of experience to tell Nomada from wasps. It is getting late for this genus, though, and anything similar to this that you see in summer and fall should be a wasp:-)

many Nomada fly in the summer and fall, especially towards the south and west
