Size: 28 mm wingspan
The caterpillar covered itself with a few leaf fragments on the bottom of the jar. It must have emerged from its cocoon yesterday or today.

I put it back on the P.I. vine where I found the caterpillar. A couple weeks ago I saw another Showy Emerald caterpillar on the same vine. Looks like we can add Toxicodendron radicans var. negundo as one of its larval food plants :^)
