Okanagana sp. (rimosus?)
There are 2 species of Okanagana that likely occur in your area and this one looks more like O. rimosus.
Please refer to O. rimosus & O. canadensis for comparisons.

Wow...Interesting!
I don't know if this genus is known yet from the Maritimes, but I see that it is on the map for Ontario on Bug Guide. Thank you very much for the quick response! I have been keeping specimens, but not this one in particular. I will keep all I get my hands on from now on, to be sure! I hope Dr.Hamilton comments too, as I am curious to know more about the wider status of this species in the east.

Awesome FIND!
I do know O. rimosus is locally abundant across parts of New England and historical accounts put a few patchy records across eastern Canada to the north (~Maritime provinces).
Cheers,
bill

Neat!
It actually landed on my binoculars at the very end of our very first National Parks Day Bio Blitz! I will post an image or two of that a little later, as the angle is slightly different, i.e. an actual lateral view.

Eastern Okanagana
I am particularly interested in Eastern Okanagana species. I have been mapping them in New England for the last several years. I would suspect you have O. rimosa and O. canadensis where you are. For Tibicens, I would suspect T. canicularis. If you suspect other species please let either Bill or I know.
For more information please visit my website. You can find the link in my profile.

OK!
Coordinates of the observation:
***At Kouchibouguac National PArk, New Brunswick, Canada, Callendars Beach parking area, 46.809293°N, 64.907013°W
As for other species in NB, based on records listed on Dr.Hamilton's checklist page in the Canadian National Insect Collection, we apparently have (known TO DATE):
Tibicen canicularis
Tibicen lyricen
Okanagana rimosa
Okanagana canadensis

Tibicens in canada
I would agree with that list but I have yet to see any photos or hear T. lyricen anywhere above the 42nd parallel in New England. I would very much be interested in seeing photos of T. lyricen specimens from your area if you have them.

OK...
I have finally found even the discussion on Bug Guide which relates to the record of Tibicen lyricen in NB and I must say I am a little at a loss as to how this all ended being a "confirmed record" from just an image, but I am certainly no Cicada expert. In the meanwhile, I definitely have been doing my best to confirm my own sightings with pictures and a specimen this summer (and will continue to do so in future) and I am definitely in the neighbourhood of where "T lyricen" was reported in NB. Moreover, several of the interpreters and resource conservation staff at Kouchibouguac Natl Park have agreed to collect any specimens of Cicadas they find in and around the park (on a research permit), so we certainly have a shot of helping clear up the uncertainty around the "status" of T lyricen in New Brunswick. Also, I guess we have a shot at finding anything else unusual in the world of Cicadas up here. I was just wondering if you felt there was any other species that was even possible up here other than T canicularis, O rimosa and O canadensis at this point...

Doubtful
Hey Denis,
Sorry for my late reply, I spent the day in Newport R.I. mapping cicadas there. To be honest, I have serious doubts if you have much more than the three species mentioned previously. However, one caveat I would say is that there may be a slight off-chance that you may have T. tibicen(Formerly T. chloromerus). I have found isolated males calling as far north as Portsmouth N.H. which has never been reported before and I just found a rather large population of them in Newport R.I.
Please keep Bill and I posted on what you find.

Thanks
I want to do that -us ending in all taxa now ... I've become so accustomed to the changes within the Tibicen species ;)
