While washing a car in our dr
While washing a car in our driveway, a couple of these guys were enjoying a free
drink of water. I have zero education in bug ID's, but after sorting through several hundred photos on this site I came to the conclusion that this is a Western Cicada Killer (Sphecius grandis). I don't have a dedicated Macro lens, so I apologize for the lack of clarity in the photo, but I was lying on the ground about a foot away from them and they weren't aggressive at all and seemed sort of shy.
I'm just curious if my ID guess is correct?
