Cerma cerintha caterpillar? - Cerma cerintha

Cerma cerintha caterpillar? - Cerma cerintha
Warren Twp., Somerset County, New Jersey, USA
July 20, 2011
Found this extremely active caterpillar in grass below a cherry tree. It seems an exact match to the description of Cerma cerintha in David Wagner's Caterpillars of Eastern North America, (p. 385), but if so, it would be the first cat of that species in Bugguide, and I am not confident of my ID. Thoughts?

Nice find!
and nice match to Wagner. We would never had made that conclusion without your lead. The description is dead-on. Go ahead and move it!
