Did you happen to notice if it had white "tail-lights" on the back. I think I can just barely see them on this photo. Compare your photo with Melissodes bimaculata.

Looking back at some of my wasted out of focus pictures, it could be. I'm maybe 80% sure that I can see some? Looking at the pictures on here, I'd be very confident in agreeing.
