Carposina sp.?
This doesn't look like a tortricid to me but I'm no expert and Dr. Fauske is. That said would it be possible to ask him to take another look? Even an expert can get fooled by Carposina.

I think you are very right! I forgot about this old image from 2011! From the vantage point of 2015, the placement was wrong, wrong, wrong. I'll tuck it into the genus Carposina right away. Thanks for catching this. PS: Jerry and I plan to carefully curate the ND BugGuide moth images (2010-2015). Thanks for being a catalyst! And thanks for your dutiful dedication to helping improve the moth portion of BG. That's a project that interests me more than just a little. ;-)
