Virginia Wood Cockroach - Parcoblatta virginica - Female
Wildwood Park; Radford, Virginia, USA
July 22, 2011
Is this a beetle? If so, what kind, please? If not, what is it? It kept trying to burrow away from me and my camera.

Parcoblatta virginica?
It has a almost solid dark colored head like most P. virginica but I have not seen it in the several species of Parcoblatta I have had.

Looks like an adult female Parcoblatta
