Prey.
What an astonishingly clear image. Fantastic! The spider is going to be in the family Pholcidae (cellar spiders). They prey is an alate (winged) termite in the genus Zootermopsis.

Thank you!
Is that a termite I should be watching for around my house? Thanks again.-Rich

The pattern and shape of this
The pattern and shape of this spider's abdomen are very distinctive, especially the wide black stripe along its underside. It's a Marbled Cellar Spider, Holocnemus pluchei. It is introduced to North America and has spread rapidly throughout California and across the southwestern United States.
