We cropped a few more for you this morning
We don't know if you find this helpful - or possibly even offensive! But wanted you to know what works better on BugGuide, an image cropped down to the dimensions of the moth itself without all the extra wood in view. And you may have seen the note from Bob Patterson from MPG, which points out that cropping your images to a square 560 by 560 makes them good for BugGuide and most useful for MPG too!

Hey Thanks. It looks great. I will try to learn how to do this myself, but I barely have time to get these onto Bug-guide. If you have any tips on how to short-cut the cropping process, contact me offline by e-mail.

 
Can you tell us what imaging software
you use to process your images? It will help if we find someone who uses the same software. We could tell you how to set up a preset 560 by 560 square in Photoshop, but that might not do you any good.
