Scudder's Bush Katydid - Scudderia pistillata - Male
Dodgeville, Iowa County, Wisconsin, USA

Size: 73mm wingspan
I think it is a Curve-winged Bush Katydid (Scudderia curvicauda). It was found around 5:00 p.m. by listening to it.

Looks more like a Broad-wing
The tegmina are much broader in this species, while the abdominal process is similar in shape (but it this part also looks more like that of S. pistillata to me).

Moved from Scudder's Bush Katydids.
