Moved
Moved from Mallochohelea. After looking at Wirth's key, I agree with John that this is closest to M. atripes.

Moved
Moved from Sphaeromiini.

Cf. Mallochohelea atripes
If I assume this is Mallochohelea and run it through the key in Wirth's 1962 revision of Sphaeromiini, I get M. atripes Wirth 1962. The species is widespread in the East.

The color pattern matches. Non-obvious characters are "(hind) fifth tarsomhere with 5 pairs of batonnets, the fifth, distal one removed toward claws and sharper than the others;" 10 spines on distal half of fore femur; 4 or 5 spines on distal third of mid and hind femora; and thorax and body shining.

Thanks John
I wanted to see if there was any color change when I dry-mounted it (Nilobezzia is similar but is dull and pollenose). Now I'm confident of genus.

I can't make out the batonnets with my magnification, but the spines on the femora, front to back, are: 7-8; 3; 4-2.

If you have a pdf of that paper, I'd love to see it.
