Size
Wingspan about 19 mm.
Identification
Hindwing has a yellow band along the outer margin with six black spots. Five of the spots have a blue center dot. (3)
Range
Nova Scotia(4) and Quebec to Florida and west to Louisana. (5), (6), (1), (7), (8), (9)

Coastal.
Season
Adults are most common from April to August. (2)
Heppner (2003) reports February to August, and November to December for Florida. (8)
Food
Heppner (2003) reports larval host as unknown. (8)
Aquatic plants are likely.
