Small tufted caterpillar discovered on pine tree - Orgyia leucostigma

Small tufted caterpillar discovered on pine tree - Orgyia leucostigma
West Jefferson, Madison County, Ohio, USA
July 28, 2011
Size: 10mm
Found a bunch of these on a pine tree possibly a larch (it is a deciduous conifer) I also believe they came from an egg case kind of like a praying mantis case. The egg cases was white colored and kind of like Styrofoam. However I did not witness the caterpillars emerging from the egg case they were near.
