Lachesilla tectorum Badonnel - Lachesilla tectorum - female

Lachesilla tectorum Badonnel - Lachesilla tectorum - Female
San Marcos, Hays County, Texas, USA
April 2, 2009
Size: ~ 3 mm
Found in leaf litter. I had to send this specimen to Mockford for ID verification. This is the only specimen I have see so far. It is known from female only and Mockford says "The large, dark one from San Marcos is L. tectorum Badonnel. That is a new northernmost record. My only Texas record was from Southmost Palm Grove". If I find more I can take a live shot with my macro lens. This species is in the Pedicularia Group.
