What's the best reference to use for bee ID? Any advice for someone new to identifying bees? Thanks.

Male
H., the mostly-orange front femur is distinct and that feature seems to stand out in many images of the males. If it is found to be unique to this species, should someone add a note to the info tab,

No. M. perihirta is western
Please consider distribution before proposing species identifications for bees. Global maps are available online on Discover Life for all species. This site also has keys for all eastern species.
M. perihirta and latimanus have more extensively pale legs.
