minor point
In this place I suspect more likely Red-spotted Purple than White Admiral, but both are regional variants of Limenitis arthemis. If this is near Willows along a stream or in a similar area, Viceroy (L. archippus) is likely, otherwise probably not. Myself, I don't know how to tell pupae of two species apart just by looking.
