Metallic Beetle - Brachys aerosus Madison, Dane County, Wisconsin, USA June 3, 2006 Size: ~5 mm
Maybe a metallic wood-boring beetle? I wasn't sure this thing was alive when I took the photo (sometimes seeds, detritus, etc. on a leaf can fool you) but those are definitely legs at the leaf edge. And the straight line of the elytra is a dead giveaway for a beetle. But which one?
