using Insects & Arachnids of Canada Part 17
I saw no visible matches. I'm willing to move this to wolf spiders for now if everyone else agrees with that. I don't think it's one of the wolf spider look alikes... since I went through most of them and couldn't see anything similar.

yes that is a nice one
but not in the same genus. I think Tom's is a Pirata sp or that new Piratula.
Back to John's spider the only bald wolf spiders I can remember are Arctosa or Allocosa. That being said I still haven't given this enough though to rule out any wolf eye look-alikes.

What a strange landscape of broken and empty
millipede bodies. Looks like something from a sci-fi movie! The eyes seem small for a Lycosid, but we don't know anything else with that pattern

Very interesting bald wolf (ish) spider
look how the carapace is kind of jagged. The eyes look wolfie, but I'm not sure. I'll have to look through some references.
