Toothpick Grasshopper, possibly Leptysma marginicollis hebardi? - Leptysma marginicollis

Toothpick Grasshopper, possibly Leptysma marginicollis hebardi? - Leptysma marginicollis
Borrego Springs, San Diego County, California, USA
March 3, 2001
Size: 36 mm to wing tip
It's hard to tell these toothpick grasshoppers apart without seeing whether there is a spur throat or not. This one was seen in the Borrego Sink on Saltbush on the edge of a pond. I don't recall cattails, but there are a few water plants. For years I've always thought it was Leptysma marginicollis hebardi, but after looking at Gomphocerinae toothpicks, I don't know which one it is. Any help is much appreciated.
