Bug on wild carrot - Alydus eurinus

Bug on wild carrot - Alydus eurinus
Crystal Lake, McHenry County, Illinois, USA
July 30, 2011
Size: 12mm
I only managed one photo of this one, so it may not be the best view for identification. Seems to have a beak like an assassin bug.

Moved from ID Request.

Poor Alydus eurinus lost its wings...?

yes, a mauled Alydus eurinus

Guess it wasn't a nymph stage then
I didn't consider that the wings had been lost, as opposed to not yet formed.
