Identification
Food
Myricaceae: Comptonia peregrina (sweetfern) [also possibly Myrica pensylvanica (bayberry), as Olethreutes myricana Kearfott, 1910 — see remarks]
Remarks
Pohl, et al. (2016) list O. myricana as a synonym. However, there is taxonomic confusion with those names and baccatana, and synonymization may be unwarranted (M. Sabourin, pers. comm.) For now, I have placed my specimens reared from bayberry (Myrica pensylvanica) here. (Aaron Hunt)
