Just wanted to second Roger's revised ID. This is a male Ephemera simulans subimago.

Thank you, Lloyd.

Male subimago of family Ephemeridae, genus Ephemera, likely E. guttulata. Very nice.

You are certainly welcome. Your response was so rapid, I was unable to modify my original comment. However, I'm now leaning toward Ephemera simulans rather than E. guttulata, but you have both in Ontario, as well as E. varia.

Thanks, Roger, I will change my records. My primary interest is moths, but I also have several species of mayflies(and also caddisflies) turning up at my lights, sometimes in huge numbers when there is a hatch. I am very happy that you are able to ID the mayflies.
