Moved from Tachytes.

Female
This looks like a female Tachytes distinctus. (widespread) This is the first one that I have been able to ID from Florida, congrats!

Tachytes sp. - female digging a nesting burrow
Big greenish or greyish compound eyes are fairly typical of this genus of Larrinae (Sphecidae). I think a very similar species, with these same silvery side spots on the urotergites, is already in this guide.

Agreed.
At least a few different species of Tachytes share this color pattern, though. Very difficult to tell the differences from images alone.

Glad to ID this genus
I just collected a nearly identical specimen in Hollister, CA. I had already ID'd it as Larrinae, and can now easily ID it as Tachytes, thanks to the photo. (After active collecting for 10 years, I'd never seen this one before.)
