No idea - Spalacopsis texana

No idea - Spalacopsis texana
Near the Houston Arboretum and Nature Center, Harris County, Texas, USA
August 3, 2011
Size: ~7 mm
I didn't get a good shot, but I have no idea what this is. I caught the specimen though, so I should be able to get a better shot.

Found one
I'll add it soon. Moved from ID Request.

Very cool! Spalacopsis sp., don't know which species though..

Only one species
is known from Texas, Spalacopsis texana Casey.

I'll get some more pictures when we get to Arizona, or at the latest by around the 10th.

I'm going up there this weekend; maybe I'll get lucky and find one.

Hope so!
I was out at this place about a block away from the Houston Arboretum. There was a little railway track going through. I swept through the brush near it. Good luck, man!
