Grass Spider - Agelenopsis - male

Grass Spider - Agelenopsis - Male
Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee, USA
August 4, 2011
Literally hundreds of webs visible in my yard after several weeks of drought.

Moved
Moved from ID Request.

A male spider
I just posted a similar picture of a different species of
male funnel web spider.
Notice the swollen palps.
Someone else may be able to help you further with the ID, but a note on the size would be helpful.

Thanks!
Definitely male, as were nearly all of his neighbors. This particular one would have fit on a quarter (including legs), but most of his neighbors would have just been a bit bigger than a nickel.
