I found one yesterday too in Puyallup, WA.

 
What was strange...
Hi Lynette, what I found strange, was that the moth never moved even when I hit the leaf it was on.

 
Same here
I carried the moth home on its leaf in a dog poo bag, and it never moved a bit.
