Barn Funnel Weaver - Tegenaria domestica - female

Barn Funnel Weaver - Tegenaria domestica - Female
Puyallup, Pierce County, Washington, USA
August 6, 2011
I was cleaning up the yard and found this under an old bench seat. She has two egg sacs, both covered by debris.

Nice!
I've always wanted to see the egg sacs on this species! I've collected a few (they aren't very common around my house), but they were either immatures or males, so never got any egg sacs. This is one of the prettiest T. domestica I've ever seen; nice contrasty colors!

P.S. I'm going to add this shot to the "life cycle" part of the info page, hope that's ok?

Sure
Thanks Mandy.
