Leonard's Skipper - Hesperia leonardus - male

Leonard's Skipper - Hesperia leonardus - Male
Necedah NWR, Juneau County, Wisconsin, USA
August 4, 2011
Is this a male Leonard's Skipper? The white spots are enclosed with black, which isn't shown in any of my field guides. It was the same on both sides of the skipper, so I assumed the black wasn't from wear and tear. The skipper had been feeding on a sandy road, but it hopped right up onto my husband's hand when he put it in front of the skipper. Then it moved to his neck. Once there, it didn't want to leave.
