Australian Sod Fly? - Inopus rubriceps - Female
Santa Cruz, Santa Cruz County, California, USA

I am pretty sure this is Inopus rubriceps. I submitted a specimen from Sunnyvale before. Santa Cruz is about 40 miles away, and along the coast. I think I have seen these in the tall grass that grows along the creek.
