This orb weaver has set up shop in a large web between two small trees for the last few nights. Based on other pictures on this Web site, I thought it was a female Eriophora ravilla. But the range is wrong. She didn't care for the camera flash and contracted to the form you see her in this photo. I have other photos where she's not as contracted and you can get a better look at her legs.

Yes, the range is wrong for ravilla.
That is a Gulf Coast spider. This is more likely Neoscona crucifera.
