Paratachys oblitus (Casey)
based on my microscopic examination of this specimen which is now a photo-voucher in the P.W.Messer collection. New to BugGuide. Thanks Tom.

Range: primarily northeast.
Distinguished from similar spp. by uniformly dark dorsum (no elytral cloud); poorly defined elytral striae lateral to the first; pronotum with relatively straight sides (barely sinuate) and hind angles rounder.

syn. Tachys obliquus (Casey) used in Lindroth (1966).
