Sorry, I'm back to dial up and can't browse the site well. I'm hoping someone knows what it is. It was chowing down on the aphids who are chowing on the Canadian lettuce. I think it ate 3 aphids in about 2 minutes.

Don't know the genera of tenthredinids, but one of the physically largest and most strongly marked in color pattern (like your specimen) is the genus Tenthredo, which I seem to recall are also predators as adults.
