Mayfly Larva - Ameletus cryptostimulus
Dixville, Coos County, New Hampshire, USA
May 23, 2006
Size: ~14mm

Moved
Moved from Ameletus.

Ameletus cryptostimulus
Put under this species now.

Moved
Moved from Ameletus browni.

Ameletus sp.
Not A. browni, maybe a form of A. crypto*stimulus, or not.

Ameletidae: Ameletus browni
Or maybe it is the undescribed larva of Ameletus walleyi, but I will live with A. browni for now. Quite uncommon, on the White Mountain National Forest list of "species of concern."
