Size: 18 mm
On side of house in bright sunlight. These are very common in Maine late July to mid August. I have seen them in bright sun on various dead and distressed Abies, Picea, and Pinus species, but never on Thuja or Tsuga.

Can anyone confirm this ID? The last four abdominal segments have lateral yellow spots.
